We would rather lose a sale than sell you the wrong block

What we do

We buy accident-damaged vehicles, decommissioned plant and workshop closures, strip them, and sell the parts that are still good. On the automotive side that means engines, gearboxes, transfer cases, diff centres and cylinder heads. On the industrial side it means electric motors, air compressors, generator sets and workshop machines.

The two halves of the business feed each other. A farmer who buys a bakkie engine from us this month is often the same person who needs a three-phase motor for the irrigation pump next month, and we would rather he made one phone call than two.

How we work

Nothing goes on this website until it has been tested. What that means depends on the unit: compression and oil pressure for an engine, every gate shifted for a gearbox, a pressure test and a skim for a cylinder head, a megger test and a run for an electric motor, a load-bank test for a genset.

Then we ask you for the code. Not the model name, the code, because the two are not the same thing and the difference is what turns a good buy into an expensive weekend. We confirm the match in writing before you pay.

What you can expect from us

A straight answer

If the unit you want is not right for your application, we will tell you. If we do not have it, we will say so instead of stringing you along on a maybe.

Photos of the real unit

Used stock is one of a kind, so a catalogue photo tells you nothing. We send pictures of the actual item on the floor before it is crated.

A written quote

Unit price, VAT, warranty terms and delivery to your address, in writing. No verbal numbers that change when the invoice arrives.

Someone to call after

If it does not fit or it does not run right, phone us. A warranty you cannot reach anybody about is not a warranty.

Who buys from us

Independent workshops and panel shops who need a tested unit rather than a rebuild gamble. Fleet operators who cannot have a vehicle standing. Farmers and packhouses who need a motor or a genset back on line today. Owner-drivers keeping a bakkie or a taxi earning.

We also sell to the public. If you are not a mechanic, say so, and we will explain what you are buying in plain language and tell you what your fitter will need to do.
