The things people ask us most
Straight answers about codes, warranty, delivery and the two ways to buy from us.
Do you sell new parts as well?
Mostly used, yes. The yard runs on used and reconditioned stock, which is where the value is. A small number of listings are new parts. Every listing states the condition, and if it is not clear on the page, ask us before you pay.
Can I pay on the website?
Yes. Add the unit to your cart, check out and pay by EFT into our bank account. We confirm the order once the payment reflects, then arrange collection or delivery. If you are not certain the unit fits your vehicle, use the quote list instead. Send us the code, we check it against what is physically on the floor and send a written price including delivery before you pay anything. Both routes are on the site and you can use either one.
What is an engine code and where do I find it?
It is the number stamped or cast onto the block, casing or nameplate that identifies the exact variant. On most engines it is on a flat pad near the gearbox mating face or under the intake. On a gearbox it is usually three or four letters on the casing. On a cylinder head it is cast into the casting itself. Photograph it and send it to us.
What if I cannot find the code?
Send us the VIN, or a photo of the whole unit, and tell us the make, model and year. We can normally identify it from that. It is what we do every day.
How long is the warranty?
Three months from delivery or collection on tested mechanical units, covering the core of the unit. Rims and tool boxes carry thirty days functional cover. Consumables, ancillaries and damage caused by fitting errors or overheating are not covered. The full terms are on our delivery and warranty page.
Do you fit the parts?
We supply. Fitment is done by your own technician or a workshop you trust. For anything electronic or common rail, use a qualified diesel or auto electrician, because incorrect fitment voids the warranty and it is expensive to unwind.
How much is delivery?
It depends on the weight and the destination, so we quote it per order in writing rather than building an average into the price. Crates are palletised and you get a waybill number when it ships.
Do you deliver outside South Africa?
Yes, into Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Eswatini and Lesotho, quoted on request. Duties and clearing are for the buyer unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Are your prices including VAT?
Yes. Every price shown on this site includes VAT at 15 percent. Delivery is quoted separately.
Can I see the actual unit before I pay?
Yes. We send photographs of the specific unit before it is crated, and you are welcome to come and inspect it at the yard in Durban. Phone ahead so we can pull it out for you.
Do you buy scrap or take trade-ins?
We buy accident-damaged vehicles, decommissioned plant and workshop equipment. If you have an old unit to trade against a purchase, tell us when you request the quote and we will price it.
Do you do trade or fleet pricing?
Yes. Panel shops, fleets and independent workshops can ask about trade terms when they request a quote. Tell us your expected volume.
How quickly do you reply?
Most quotes go out the same working day. WhatsApp during yard hours is usually answered within the hour.
What happens if the part does not fit?
Contact us before stripping anything. If we confirmed the code and the unit still does not match, that is on us and we will replace or refund it. If the code you gave us was wrong, we will work with you on a swap but the freight is for your account.
Still stuck?
Phone the yard on 063 576 3538 during hours, or send a photo of the part on WhatsApp. We would rather answer a question than sell you the wrong thing.
