It is listed against the 4B40 code. We sell on the code, not the model name, because manufacturers change injectors, looms, mounting points and sensor positions mid-generation and two vehicles that look identical can take completely different units.

What we checked

• Sump dropped and the pickup and bearings inspected for material
• Checked for coolant in the oil and oil in the coolant
• Turbo shaft play checked by hand where one is fitted
• Compression tested on every cylinder, with the readings checked against the manufacturer service limit
• Oil pressure verified on the rig at idle and at speed
